Dunelm is a homeware shop, so coming here for a Christmas jumper is a slightly sideways move – but it is a sensible one, because what Dunelm does extremely well is the soft, warm, staying-in end of Christmas. Pyjamas, loungewear, fleece, slipper socks and the sort of thing you actually wear on the 25th once the visitors have gone.
This is a genuinely under-rated category. A great deal of Christmas is spent at home on a sofa, and a festive pyjama set or a brushed cotton lounge top does more work over the whole fortnight than a scratchy novelty knit worn once to a party. Matching family pyjama sets turn up here too, and they are the quiet secret behind a lot of Christmas morning photographs.
The selection on this site is small, because knitwear is not Dunelm’s trade and we only list the festive clothing rather than the eight hundred varieties of cushion.
